Oftentimes, our customers will tell us that when recruiting and working with current employees they are really interested in understanding how people work through their decision-making process. And, it’s one of the hardest characteristics to determine in an interview, especially when so many these days are virtual due to the pandemic. The PXT Select assessment provides valuable insights into how the decision process unfolds for individuals by measuring 2 key personal behaviors: Decisiveness and Judgement. Decisiveness measures the speed with which people will make decisions. Judgement measures the amount of fact-based information an individual requires to support their decisions. Created by Profiles International, PXT Select is based on the Profile XT assessment, but it incorporates Artificial Intelligence which we call Computer Adaptive Technology and has a shortened online assessment experience and a more accurate result. Find an Individual Graph example here.

When you open to page 2 of the attached Profiles PXT Select Individual Graph Summary please review Oliver Chases’ decisiveness and judgement scores in the behavior section that tell you the following:

A decisiveness score of 4 suggests that Oliver will take longer to make decisions than most people because he has a desire to make correct, accurate decisions. As a result of this perspective, he will have a tendency to do more analysis than most people which takes additional time.

Oliver’s score of 8 in the judgement behavior suggests he is a highly fact based, pragmatic person.  Oliver relies heavily on fact-based information to support the variety of decisions he will be faced with. Oliver’s tendencies are to believe the facts will carry the day and greatly enhance the likelihood of correct, more accurate decisions.

The PXT Select Behaviors scores reflect an individual’s personal comfort zone.  Our tendency as human beings, especially when we feel pressure or are under duress, is to use the Profile behaviors from our comfort zone. By having Oliver’s decisiveness and judgement perspectives from the PXT Select,  we will have insight into how Oliver will make decisions under pressure.  In other words, we will know what Oliver is “really like” to work with.
